Pathankot (Punjab), Aug 27, 2025 – In a high-risk operation near Madhopur Headworks, the Indian Army rescued 22 CRPF personnel and three civilians stranded amid raging floodwaters on Wednesday morning.
Army officials said the operation was launched at 6 AM, when Army Aviation helicopters braved challenging weather to evacuate the stranded individuals. All were safely airlifted to secure locations.
In a dramatic twist, the building where they had taken shelter collapsed shortly after the evacuation, underscoring the urgency and precision of the rescue.
