New Delhi – Self-styled godman Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati, ex-chairman of Sri Sharada Institute, faces serious charges after 32 female students accused him of sexual harassment, intimidation, and financial misconduct linked to a ₹122 crore trust.
The FIR filed on August 5 details repeated harassment, including inappropriate messages, late-night calls, threats of mark deduction, and seizure of students’ phones and certificates to control them. Survivors allege they were forced to surrender personal belongings and bow before him during rituals.
Most victims were PGDM students under the EWS scholarship scheme. Authorities are probing both harassment claims and alleged financial irregularities.
