Ludhiana — AAP MLA Sanjeev Arora has been inducted into the Punjab Cabinet as the new Industry and NRI Affairs Minister, following the resignation of Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal from the NRI portfolio.
Arora, elected from Ludhiana West, took oath at Punjab Raj Bhawan, administered by Governor Gulab Chand Kataria. This marks the seventh cabinet expansion under CM Bhagwant Mann’s over three-year rule.
With Tarunpreet Singh Sond retaining Rural Development, Labour, and Tourism, the Industry department has now shifted to Arora.
Following Dhaliwal’s exit, the cabinet strength remains at 16, with two berths still vacant. The brief six-minute swearing-in ceremony was attended by CM Mann, his wife Gurpreet Kaur Mann, ministers, and senior officials.
