Comedian Kapil Sharma’s Kaps Café in Surrey, Canada, was fired upon late Wednesday — the third attack in four months. Gangsters Goldy Dhillon and Kuldeep Sidhu, said to be linked with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, claimed responsibility for the latest shooting. A video circulating online shows a man firing multiple rounds from a moving car toward the café. Witnesses reported hearing at least six gunshots. Soon after, Dhillon and Sidhu released a video message taking responsibility for all three shootings and warning the public to stay away, claiming their issue was with “those doing illegal work and not paying people.” This marks the third attack since July. In the first, around 10 bullets hit the café’s glass windows; in the second, over 25 rounds were fired. Following those incidents, another gangster, Harjit Singh Laddi of Babbar Khalsa International, had claimed responsibility, alleging Sharma’s show had insulted Nihang Sikhs. Kaps Café has condemned the violence, stating it will continue to serve as a space of “warmth and community.” Police in both Canada and Mumbai have tightened security following the repeated threats.
