Owaisi Hits Back At Tejashwi Yadav For Calling Him ‘Extremist’, Says “He’s Speaking Pakistan’s Language”

New Delhi: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi launched a sharp attack on Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav on Sunday, after the latter reportedly called him an “extremist”.

Speaking at a rally in Kishanganj, Bihar, Owaisi accused Yadav of using divisive language and said, “Tejashwi called me an extremist because I wear a cap and have a beard. So much hatred in him! The one who does not bow before him or his father, you call him an extremist?”

Owaisi further mocked the RJD leader, saying, “Babu, ‘extremist’ ko zara angrezi mein likh le (can you even write ‘extremist’ in English)?” He added, “Tejashwi is speaking the language of Pakistan.”

His remarks came after an interview surfaced where Yadav allegedly rejected a seat-sharing offer from AIMIM for the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, calling Owaisi an “extremist” and “fanatic.”

Following the failed talks, Owaisi announced his party would contest 100 of Bihar’s 243 seats independently, declaring AIMIM the ‘third front’ in the state’s politics.

Owaisi also accused the Mahagathbandhan, led by Tejashwi’s RJD and Congress, of ignoring Muslim representation. “Bihar has 19% Muslims, yet they have no leader,” he said.

In the 2020 Bihar polls, AIMIM had contested 20 seats and won five — all in the Muslim-majority Seemanchal region — though four of those MLAs later joined the RJD.

The Bihar Assembly elections will be held in two phases — November 6 and November 11, with counting scheduled for November 14.
