Delhi: Prisoner commits suicide in Rohini Jail, family members allege murder

An under-trial prisoner has allegedly committed suicide in the Rohini jail of the capital Delhi. Prisoner number 10 was lodged in jail. He committed suicide by hanging himself in the common toilet. The jail official said that after the information, the officials who reached the spot admitted him to the hospital, where the doctors declared him brought dead. The deceased prisoner has been identified as Abdul alias Mohammad Abdul. According to the Tihar administration, 29-year-old Abdul was in judicial custody in several cases (robbery, attempt to murder, theft, snatching etc.). At the same time, the relatives of the deceased have alleged murder. They say that Abdul has been killed by beating.
