NEW YORK – September 13, 2025 — Dr. Deep Singh, Secretary General of the World Gatka Federation (WGF), today congratulated the Gatka Federation UK and the Gatka Federation USA on their successful annual championships. The World Gatka Federation will actively support the National Gatka Championships in both the UK and the USA.
Dr. Singh also issued a public warning about individuals who are falsely representing themselves as officials of the World Gatka Federation.
“The World Gatka Federation is aware of individuals who are posing as officials or office bearers as president, chairman or general secretary,” said Dr. Singh. "These individuals are not authorized to participate in championships, issue press releases on behalf of the World Gatka Federation, or appoint officials within the federations.”
Dr. Singh’s announcement coincides with the annual championships held by the UK and USA federations, which are dedicated to preserving and promoting the traditional Sikh martial art of Gatka.
